The final boss would have been a lot easier with another healer like Raja instead. I think that this game was quite good overall. I wish there were more games with a sort of Sci-Fi trapping to them, because I tried a little bit of Star Ocean II and it just felt like a classic fantasy JRPG, when I wanted a much greater Sci-Fi feel, which is what this game provided.
Obviously its still very much fantasy, but the overall feel of the story was much more different than many other JRPGs with its space aliens and androids.
This game also required barely any grinding in contrast to many other JRPGs I've played. I think I actually like this game more than games that are more frequently recommended such as Dragon Quest VIII. It's better than Shin Megami Tensei I and II in my opinion as well.
The only thing this game is missing is some fun epilogue like Lunar: Eternal Blue that lets you go and visit everyone and see what's going on with them for maybe one final romp, but that would be really fun in a lot of JRPGs, not just this one.
